Sunday March 14th 6 - 10 PM at Smithgall Woods State Park near Helen with Larry Winslett
(rain date of March 15th)
Come escape to the mountains for a beautiful night photography getaway! Capture great images using the light of the stars or moon. Since photography is by definition the “capture of light,” what do you do when there is none or very little of it? Welcome to the Dark Side of photography!
This workshop will teach you the basics of what you need to know to get started with photography at night. How do you make the stars streak? How do you capture them so they're not moving at all? How do I make my foreground visible as well? What about the moon? We'll cover everything from star trails to light painting in this photographic adventure in the dark.
Join a group of other like-minded photographers to get introduced this challenging but rewarding type of photography. This goal of this workshop is to teach you the fundamentals necessary to photographically capture pinpoint stars, star trails, the moon, and the Milky Way.
More information will be provided upon registration.
