Night Sky Photography
Capture stunning photographs of the moon, stars and star trails in this fun class. Learn how to photograph the Milky Way over a landscape. You will also discover camera settings for your DSLR camera to capture beautiful nighttime images, become familiar with the types of compositions to maximize the night sky and acquire the skills to select the best direction and time of night to photograph stars. We will discuss how to plan a photo shoot with consideration of the north star, Milky Way, moon phase and moon rise and set times. By the end of the class, you will have experience with planning and completing a night sky photo session.
One day will be hosted in a classroom setting on Thursday April 17th from 6-9 p.m. The class will plan an outing together for Saturday April 19th (weather permitting) to practice what they have learned in the field.
