JAs the seasons shift, so does the sky. Join the Omaha Astronomical Society for a series of evening sky viewing sessions to observe different constellations, planets, and deep-sky objects, from the brilliant summer stars to the crisp winter constellations.Join the Omaha Astronomical Society for a magical evening of stargazing at Lauritzen Gardens. Enjoy a tram ride to the rose garden, where you'll view the gorgeous night sky through powerful telescopes. Using the society's telescopes, observe distant deep-sky objects, planets, and the moon in a dark, yet serene garden setting.
$30, $20 for garden members. Program is designed for ages 16 and older. Pre-registration is required at least one week in advance of the session.
These outdoor experiences require specific conditions for optimum viewing. In the event of inclement weather or unsuitable conditions for night sky viewing, the session may be rescheduled.
