Night Shakes is a NYC based rockabilly band, perhaps best known for their super cool haircuts and blistering guitar chops. After seeing the Stray Cats live and being absolutely gobsmacked, Oli Myles Mashburn and Jannek Zechner decided to finally pull the proverbial trigger and form their own rockabilly band, pulling influences from Elvis (duh), Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran, The Rolling Stones, Robert Gordon, The Cramps, and way too many more to mention, finally settling into a sound that is reminiscent of the rockabilly bops of yore, yet unmistakably original.
Their first single, Barn Burnin’, is available everywhere right now, and their debut self titled record is set for an early fall release. Catch the band ripping it up with various rhythm sections around NY state this summer, and in the words of the great cats in Motörhead, “have a fucking weekend…and don’t forget to rock n’ roll!”
