Fri 18 April - GRAND OPENING, 18h00 - 20h30 [Drinks & Snacks will be served. Bell will ring at 19h00 to open sales]
Sat 19 April - Exhibition open to public from 09h00 - 19h00
Everyone of ALL standards are welcome to donate A5 sketches/drawings/paintings (+/- 150mm x 200mm). These will all be sold at R150 each on the day and ALL proceeds will go to the Pledge Nature Reserve in Knysna.

This exciting event is open to both Knysna Arts Society members and the public. Everyone is invited to participate by donating any number of A5 format original art!

πΌοΈ Display:All artworks will be hung using pegs on lines, creating a vibrant, pop-up style exhibition.

EVENING PROGRAMME
17h00 β Doors open, visitors welcomed with a short introduction about the eveningβs format.Wine will be served and R150 stickers will be sold β these are your βcurrencyβ to purchase art.
Browse the artworks at your leisure.
18h45 β A brief opening speech, acknowledgements, and introduction to Pledge Nature Reserve.
19h00 β The bell rings! Guests may rush to place stickers on the artworks they wish to buy.(Artworks will remain hanging unless the buyer canβt collect on Saturday after 16h00.)

Exhibition costs are covered by KAS.

Weβre also inviting local schools to participate β and hoping parents will support by purchasing their childrenβs work.

Exhibition open from 09h00 to 19h00 for more sales and collections
Buyers on Saturday may take their artworks immediately
A stunning oil painting by Nanna Joubert (depicting the view from Pledge across the lagoon and Heads) will be on display and for sale β all proceeds go to Pledge
CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS
We need helping hands for both days:
FRIDAY, 18 APRIL
Hang artworks (washing line style) throughout the day
Transport artworks, easels, trestles, wine glasses, snacks from Old Gaol to venue
Set up wine table with glasses, ice, snacks before 17h00
Sell stickers (cash & Yoco β 2 people needed)
Welcome guests and explain the format
Circulate and engage with visitors
Serve wine
End-of-night: Bring in banners, clean up, pack wine glasses for washing
SATURDAY, 19 APRIL
09h00: Set out banners/posters
Take turns staffing the exhibition, assist with sales and guest engagement
Help promote and sell the large oil painting
19h00: Pack up and clean venue
Safely store unsold artworks for collection
Return items to Old Gaol (ropes, pegs, trestles, etc.)
STILL NEEDED
PA system for Friday evening
Volunteer photographer to document the event
