Celebrating the food scene of New Orleans in this hands-on cooking class, you will learn how to make traditional New Orleans gumbo and beignets. Using all of the classic ingredients and French cooking methods, you’ll learn how to chop veggies, stew meat and seafood, and fry pastries. Along with the cooking skills you obtain, we will go over the history of these recipes and how valuable they were in developing strong communities and the trendy cuisine affectionately dibbed “Soul Food”.Menu:
