Enjoy the sounds of the forest on a crisp winter night and join Schramm naturalists to hike the forest after nightfall. Meet at the pond trailhead and bring a flashlight or head lamp. We will hike for about an hour and will walk about 2 miles, from the Pond Trailhead along the Hackberry Trail to the full Red Cedar Trail loop. There are stairs at the trailhead and one spot along the hike where there will be an elevation change and we will walk up a hill.
This is a free program, but a State Park Vehicle Entry Permit is required. If you do not already have one, a daily park permit can be purchased at the self-service box at the park entrance that night with exact cash or check ($7 for Nebraska licensed vehicles; $14 for non-Nebraska licensed vehicles).
