See Sanborn Park through a new light! As our eyes adjust to the setting of the sun, we'll hike through the woods and discuss the vegetation and wildlife that call Sanborn Woods home. We'll introduce you to Grandfather Oak, one of the oldest trees found in Port Huron. Once the sun has set, we'll use UV flashlights to look for glowing fungi, microfibers and debris sitting on the forest floor.Join us for a FREE Night Hike at 7pm on Friday, September 19 at Sanborn Park in Port Huron. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Bring your own water and insect repellents. Glow sticks and flashlights are a fun addition to the hike, but can only be used after the guided tour is over.
Mark your calendars, registration opens Thursday, Sept 11 and Friday, Sept 12 with City of Port Huron Parks & Recreation Department!
