First, I want to thank all of you who came out to celebrate our one-year anniversary event — we had an incredible turnout and gave away tons of great prizes! All of the prizes and the continued success of this group are made possible through your donations and support, so thank you for helping us grow.
To kick off Year 2, we’re doing something new and exciting:
✨ Our first-ever Night Fishing Class! ✨
We’ll be meeting at Cabrillo Beach Pier in San Pedro, right at the entrance of the pier to make it easy for everyone to find the group. Once everyone has arrived, we’ll walk together to our fishing spot.
#### Event Details
When: Saturday, November 22 from 5-9pm
Where: Cabrillo Beach Pier (meet at the entrance)
Theme: Wear pink or neon to match our night-fishing vibes!
Cost: Parking, but everything else is Free! (Optional $5 donation helps provide gear for young girls who can’t afford it)
#### What’s Included
🎣 I’ll be bringing 11 loaner poles — first come, first served. If you find out you can no longer attend, please un-RSVP so we can make the pole available to another member.
🪝 Bait and basic gear are included with your $5 optional donation.
💡 Glow sticks provided for fun and visibility.
🎶 We’ll have a speaker to enjoy some music while we fish.
#### What to Know
You do not need a fishing license to fish on the pier.
Please arrive on time so you don’t get lost.
If you have your own poles, feel free to bring them!
BYOB (Bring Your Own Beer) — alcohol isn’t allowed on the pier, so please use a discreet container if you choose to bring drinks.
* Dress for the weather. It might be windy on the pier.
