Dave Harries

Video and Podcast 101 - Why Listening Matters More than Talking.

Interviewing guests or VIPs is the mainstay of nearly all podcasting and a great deal of video, whether home grown or professionally produced. So how difficult can it be to get someone to answer a few questions on a microphone or in front of a camera. Well it isn’t rocket science, but neither is it just a walk in the park. A good interview can transform the effectiveness of your digital content, and of course we all know, content is king. So, what are the secrets to getting the best out of your guests and contributors. Well it all starts with your ears, and a bit of research. Ex BBC producer and hugely experienced broadcast interviewer, Dave Harries is with us to talk about what he does, how he does it, and to offer us some valuable insight into what he’s learnt over the years to enable interviewees to give their best performance when the “Red Light” goes on.

Dave Harries – Sept 2021

Dave is a communications professional with over 30 years of experience in broadcast production, music recording, video production, live facilitating and podcasting. Dave’s unique skill-set is based on a solid foundation of career experience. He set up his own production company in 2008 and continues to produce video and podcasts for numerous clients. Dave’s work and music has taken him all over the world including the United States, China, India and Russia.

Gareth Keyte

Overcoming ‘Past-Dominant Thinking’ - How to set yourself free from the past

To what extent are you allowing your past to influence your future?

Do the events of your past serve as a cautionary tale to you or do they inspire you into action?

If you spend a lot of time mulling over past mistakes, misfortune or missed opportunities, then you run the risk of creating a negative view of your world and develop what we call ‘Limiting Beliefs and Limiting Decisions’.

Gareth Keyte of Oxygen Coaching Company will be sharing ways in which you can upgrade your thinking and become more empowered.

Gareth Keyte is a former Royal Marine and Retired Police Inspector. He became a Master Coach of NLP after a 4 year battle with PTSD and Anxiety linked to his policing role. Following many sessions of CBT and traditional talk therapies he retired from policing through ill-health after over 20 years. However, it was coaching that allowed him to upgrade his thinking and provided a new operating system for his mind and body which enabled him to control his condition more effectively and start a new career helping others.

Gareth founded Oxygen Coaching Company with his wife Dawn and they specialise in Breakthrough Coaching that allows their clients to move from where they currently are, to where they want to be, quicker and more effectively than they could by doing it alone.
