NICF Presents Sedona Method Workshop by Owen Donnelly
Often in the world of counselling we perceive our clients and/or ourselves to be 'stuck', especially with certain thoughts and feelings, ‘the Sedona Method is a unique, simple, powerful, easy-to-learn and easy to duplicate technique that shows you how to uncover your natural ability to let go of any painful or unwanted feeling in the present moment’. The Sedona Method consists of a series of questions you ask yourself that lead your awareness to what you are feeling in the moment and gently guide you into the experience of letting go, this can help to free us up and allow life to flow.
‘The Sedona Method is not a therapy but I have found it to have profound therapeutic effect in my own life and in the lives of clients’. The Sedona Method gives us tools to release thoughts, feelings and sensations that are uncomfortable or even painful.
This NICF workshop will give you a practical taste of the Sedona Method, there are likely to be opportunities to facilitate other participants in the Method giving an initial idea of how it might be used with clients.
Owen Donnelly is in private practice as a counsellor, supervisor and trainer. He has been using the Sedona Method in his personal life since 2013 and with clients since 2016. He completed the Sedona Method Facilitator Training in 2021, repeating the course in 2021, 2022 and 2023. In 2022 he was invited to be part of a group of 40 Sedona Method Practitioners worldwide engaging in an on-going mentor-ship programme with Hale Dwoskin, author of the Sedona Method. Owen has been awarded the title Sedona Method Instructor in 2024
