About this Event

Louise Faulkner is a highly qualified and experienced professional in therapeutic family services, deeply committed to supporting families impacted by developmental trauma. She is the founder of HENOSIS Therapeutic Family Services and holds the distinction of being the first Certified Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapist and DDP PACE trainer from the Social Work Profession on the island of Ireland. She is actively involved in the DDP community as a member of the DDP Worldwide Board and is currently undertaking her DDP Consultant Practicum, supervised by Dr. Kim Golding. Louise brings over 25 years of experience as a Therapeutic Social Worker supporting families. Prior to focusing fully on her private practice in 2024, she managed a multi-disciplinary Therapeutic Team for Looked After and Adopted Children in the Northern Health Trust. She also holds a Foundation Certification in Theraplay and serves as a Coach for the British Association of Social Workers, Professional Support Service.


In this workshop Louise will provide an overview of Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), a model developed by Dan Hughes which is based on a theoretical understanding of attachment, intersubjective relationships, and the impact of developmental trauma. The therapy is delivered within the Dyadic Developmental Practice model, ensuring comprehensive support through network, school, and parenting frameworks. Louise will share how her DDP journey profoundly influences her life, both personally and professionally and ultimate goal to support families who courageously strive to repair from their hurts and invite her to join them on their journey toward healing.

Her current practice, HENOSIS Therapeutic Family Services, offers a wide range of services across Ireland and the United Kingdom, both face-to-face and online including Consultation and Training for professionals and families, Reflective Practice and Supervision for professional groups and individuals, Group Work Interventions, including Kim Golding's Foundations for Attachment programme and direct Therapeutic Work with families.
