Niall McCabe, a singer-songwriter from Clare Island, County Mayo, Ireland, with his unique fusion of Irish folk and Americana influences, established himself as a profound voice in modern folk music. Born into the rich musical traditions of Ireland, McCabe grew up surrounded by song and story, a foundation that has deeply informed his reflective, emotionally charged songwriting. His music explores themes of love, loss, and resilience, carried by a distinctive voice and guitar technique that draws listeners into intimate landscapes.McCabe’s second Album, Stranger released in May 2025, marks a new chapter in his musical journey. McCabe’s live performances showcase the full depth of his artistry. From the stages of notable festivals such as Celtic Connections, Cambridge Folk Festival to the more intimate stages of The Doolin and Galway Folk Festivals in Ireland every performance is a shared journey, blending raw vocals, traditional Irish instrumentation, and heartfelt storytelling.
Niall has extensive international touring experience as guest singer with Irish trad band Beoga, having opened for Ed Sheeran, Johnny Swim and more recently solo support for Chris Isaak in the London Apollo, Mary Black in the Olympia Dublin and Galway, and last year with Sharon Shannon in The City Winery, New York.
Making his Grand Ole Opry debut in 2025 accompanied by Ron Block (Union Station), an invite to tour with The Transatlantic Sessions band across the UK with Jerry Douglas, McCabe is also an Official AMERICANAFEST showcase artist for 2025 and will extend his tour across the US.
