About this Event

Teachers can learn all about what NHD Philly can bring to their classrooms, and connect with their peers from across the city to see how Philadelphia’s cultural institutions can support them and their students in their exploration of this year’s theme, Frontiers in History: People, Places, Ideas. This in-person event will also feature examples of previous years’ student projects, light refreshments, and the chance to win a $25 Amazon gift card or some vintage NHD shirts!

National History Day is a year-long program for 6th-12th grade students designed to develop research skills, promote critical thinking, and engage the historical narrative through primary source documents.


The NSCDA/PA headquarters is located near Rittenhouse Square at 1630 Latimer Street and is accessible via SEPTA Regional Rail and Broad Street Line. Septa Trip Planner
