NHC Area – Dr. George Bountakis Seminar (+Coach Revalidation)Date: Saturday 8th November 2025

Open to all Coaches & Judoka with a valid BJA Membership: Minimum age 18 years old (14year old+ players can attend but must be accompanied by an adult)
Dr. George Bountakis is a distinguished judo coach, educator, and researcher recognized internationally for his contributions to the sport. Having made a successful transition from competitive judoka, he now holds key positions within national federations and plays a significant role in advancing both judo coaching practices and academic research related to judo.
Topics: ● How to develop tokui-waza (Favourite technique) ● Training using judo jacket and belt ● Method of teaching techniques ● Ne-waza (for competitors) ● Kumi-kata (grip training and solutions) ● Coaching cadets and juniors (Mitsumoto’s method- judo’s NPO) ● How to develop rhythm in judo (example uchi-mata)
Mat fee: £20 per judoka payable to the NHC. All judoka must register in advance using the following Jot form https://pci.jotform.com/form/252463399332361
