NGV Kids on Tour is back at Pakenham for 2026! We are so excited to again be a host venue for this wonderful program.
Let's Party is a session with multiple activities for ages 3+. These are designed in collaboration between NGV Kids and artists and designers, including:
ACTIVITY TITLE: Make a Party Hat
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION: We wear hats for many reasons! Hats can protect us from the sun, rain or cold weather. They can also be part of a uniform, express style, or represent a special tradition or celebration.
Celebrating the NGV exhibition, Let’s Party! Fashion for Kids Designed by Danielle Brustman, children are invited to decorate a party hat with stickers in this fun activity.
ACTIVITY TITLE: Take the Cake
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION: Cakes are more than just sweet treats, they’re symbols of celebration, tradition and togetherness. From birthdays to cultural milestones, they mark life’s special moments.
In this activity, children can draw their own cake, using their imagination and creativity to capture memories of special occasions. Whether inspired by family traditions or decorated with icing and sprinkles, every drawing will be an expression of joy and celebration.
ACTIVITY TITLE: Party Games
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION:
From birthdays to family gatherings, party games are a chance to play together, make new friends and enjoy the spirit of the party.
In this activity, children are invited to take part in party games that everyone can enjoy. With imagination, teamwork and a little friendly competition, each game becomes a chance to connect, celebrate and have fun together.
What is NGV Kids on Tour? NGV Kids on Tour aims to increase children and family attendances at a range of community-minded venues and organisations across Victoria over summer. Through a series of free workshops and activities, attendees can enjoy a range of art-making activities developed by artists and the National Gallery of Victoria. Hands-on activities made collaboratively with family and friends, fosters social connection while also sparking creative thinking and providing opportunities for self-expression.
