We are pleased to open our gardens again on Friday 21 June as part of the National Garden Scheme. Discover the cathedral's historic and beautiful gardens with our Gardeners and Garden Guides on hand to answer any questions and share the history of the site. We will be opening the Chapter House, Cloister, Canons and Dean's Gardens ready for you to explore at your own pace.
Tickets cost £6 and can be purchased via the cathedral website or on the day at the entrance to the College Cloisters. You can arrive anytime during the day, but please note, last entry will be at 3pm.
All income from ticket sales goes to NGS and their partnership charities.
Please note, Bishop's Palace Garden is not open during this event, due to a private event taking place. If you would like to visit Bishop's Palace Garden, please book a ticket for the two Open Garden events this summer: Saturday 20 June and Saturday 24 August 2024.
Accessibility Information: Chapter House & Cloisters Garden are both easily accessible for wheelchairs. Canon's Garden and Dean's Garden have some areas with sloping lawns, gravel paths and a few steps so are less accessible, but more accessible routes throughout the gardens can be suggested.
