About this Event
This is a hybrid NFPA Fire Officer 1 course presented by DPSST. Once students have registered they will be sent a link to sign up or log in to Resource 1 and start all of their course work. Students will complete all modules with quizzes and tests. Prior to the in person portion of the course, students must have 70% or higher on all tests and complete all course work. The 2 day in person class will be full of activities and review of course materials. This course offers the building blocks of leadership and personnel management in the fire service. This class is best for people that are currently in a leadership role or will soon be in a leadership role.
• Dress for the class is business casual or Class B uniform.
• Students will have a task book initiated but will not be completely signed off.
• Class will be held 8am to 5pm with a 1 hour lunch both days.
• Students must be affiliated with an Oregon fire department.
• Students must be, or close to completing, NFPA Firefighter 2 and NFPA Instructor 1.
