Get ready to "Seize the Day!" because the North Fort Myers High School Performing Arts Department is bringing the exhilarating, high-energy musical, Newsies, to life! This is more than just a show, it's a massive, spectacular production that will have you cheering, tapping your feet, and leaving the theatre ready to fight for what you believe in.
Based on a true story, Newsies tells the inspiring tale of a band of teenage newspaper sellers (the Newsies) in 1899 New York City who dream of a better life. When publishing giants Joseph Pulitzer and William Randolph Hearst raise the distribution price of the papers at the newsies' expense, Jack Kelly and his friends rally to form a union and go on strike! Prepare to be stunned by the tap numbers and energetic dance numbers! Our talented student cast has poured their hearts into mastering the iconic, show-stopping choreography and lyrics.

You can experience the magic on Friday, February 20th at 7 PM, Saturday, February 21st at 7 PM, and Sunday, February 22nd at 2 PM. Lobby opens 1 hour before show, house will open 30 minutes before the show starts.
