NEXTET, the contemporary chamber music series at the UNLV School of Music features 20th and 21st-century concert music performed by faculty, students, and guest artists. Directed by Dr. Jennifer Bellor, NEXTET’s February concert will feature music by guest composer Christopher Cerrone, UNLV faculty composers Jennifer Bellor, Viet Cuong, and Diego Vega, along with Russell Wharton. Guest artists Annie Stevens (percussion) and John Irrera (violin) will also be in residence to perform music by Cerrone, Bellor, and Cuong, including a premiere of the violin and percussion version of Cerrone’s 'The Pleasure at Being the Cause.'Cerrone: selections from Memory Palace
