Develop your skills in letterpress techniques on this five-week follow on course. This course will run over 5 sessions on Wednesday evenings 6th November – 4th December 6:30-9:00pm
Throughout the course you’ll have the opportunity to work with our metal type and wood type sets and various traditional presses to develop your ideas and knowledge of letterpress.
You’ll be encouraged to explore your own projects and work on existing ideas, with the support and guidance of the tutor. Along the way you’ll learn about letterpress context, history and technical terminology.
What experience do I need?
This course is ideal for those who already have a basic knowledge of letterpress and is aimed at those who have attended our Introduction to Letterpress Course or our Letterpress Taster Day. Those who have learnt some basic letterpress techniques elsewhere and would like a recap of their previous skills are also welcome to attend.
What will I make?
You’ll produce a range of 3-4 letterpress editions of prints onto various papers. You are encouraged to bring along your own ideas and projects to work from.
