About this Event
August 19-Community Workshop #2: Past, Present and Future of Your Community
This meeting would occur towards the end of the needs assessment phase of the work (see Task 3) and be designed to share information about the history of the area, existing conditions physically and socially – collected from resident surveys, stakeholder interviews, on-the-ground observations, and third-party data – and confirm these realities with the community, setting the stage for conversations about what is the preferred future.
September 16 -Community Workshop #3: Housing and Neighborhood Visioning Charrette
This charrette-like meeting will focus on alternatives that will inform the parameters of the plan. While a major emphasis will be on the physical environment, it will be important to ensure we solicit input on ‘people’ – their dreams and aspirations.
November 13-Community Workshop #4: Preliminary Housing and Neighborhood Options
Based on the input from Workshop #3, the housing and neighborhood designs will be refined for additional review, discussion, and input. Programmatic information about relocation, equity and possible human capital investments to improve resident outcomes will also be shared for responsiveness and adequacy.
