Presenting a lineup of Ōtepoti / Dunedin’s freshest emerging talent, who are soon to become regular names amongst the scene. Join us for a special night at UBar as we showcase the crazy underground talent that is currently blossoming. Catch 10+ acts who are fresh to the gigging scene, spanning a range of genres and styles, and a feature performance from Dunedin heavyweights “Hot Sauce Club”. Next in Line is where you can discover your soon to be favourite bands/DJs/artists, and claim inevitable bragging rights amongst your friend group.

Next in line is an event which aims to foster and encourage the formation of musical projects, of any genre, amongst the first year University demographic. Next in Line also aims to make the live gigging process easier for emerging artists, by providing a fully organised and marketed professional-level gig setup, through an established platform. The event was formed after the realisation (from personal experience) that it was near impossible to start gigging as a first-year musician. We set out to make the process more accessible for new talent. Along the way, musicians involved learn key skills within the music business and in promoting their artist project, develop connections amongst their local scene, and gain the confidence to undertake further live music endeavours.
