Physicians please come join us Saturday, July 13, from 10 AM to 12 PM at Maricopa County Medical Society (MCMS) for a great education opportunity. Phoenix Children's Hospital's Division Chief of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology and Professor at both Creighton University & University of Arizona, Phoenix, Amy J. Williamson, MD, will be providing Nexplanon training for physicians. NEXPLANON (etonogestrel), is a birth control implant that prevents pregnancy for up to five years. It's a small, flexible rod that's inserted under the skin of the upper arm by a trained healthcare professional. The implant slowly releases a hormone called etonogestrel, which prevents pregnancy by thickening cervical mucus and stopping ovulation.
MCMS will be providing the training in an air-conditioned classroom setting plus providing breakfast and refreshments.
