🥳 Enjoy a day of celebration as Newstead House, Brisbane’s oldest surviving European residence, reopens to the public for the first time in three years.ℹ️ Festivities will take place on Saturday 6 July from 10am to 2pm with a free, family funday. Held in Newstead House and its surrounds, eventgoers can take part in face painting,watch captivating tricks from a roving magician and explore the newly restored house with a leisurely self-guided tour.
🍔 Plus, there'll be lawn games to play with family and friends, food trucks to purchase delectable delights and an exciting reptile showcase that will fascinate and educate. To complete the day, the veranda will feature artisan markets offering unique handcrafted items – perfect for a unique keepsake.

🚗 Entry to the event is via Newstead Avenue. Street metered parking is available via Newstead Avenue, Breakfast Creek Road and Skyring Terrace. Further parking options are available at Gasworks Plaza Car Park and Secure Parking on Longland Street.
🚌 For Public Transport options, the CityCat ferry service stops at Newstead Park Ferry Terminal and buses run frequently along Breakfast Creek Road and Skyring Terrace.
Newstead House was built in 1846 and has recently undergone a $5.5 million renovation, funded by the Queensland Government.
