Join Francesca for Newsflash!, where we will discover the stories that matter in your local area. Do you ever feel like the news doesn’t represent how you and your community really feel? In this workshop we will think about current affairs, historical events and visions of the future, figuring out how we might report on them in a way that makes sense to us. Through printmaking, collage, conversations and words, we will make our own collaborative newspaper for Croydon. Our newspaper will reimagine the Croydon we hope for, one we might create together! Suitable for budding journalists of all ages.

This workshop is part of a programme of events inside the Wiggle Wonderland pavilion which is in Whitgift Square from 14th Feb - 03 Mar 2025
Wiggle Wonderland is a timber-framed pavilion and open-air gallery that displays the works of artists and communities in different locations. From hosting live performances to workshops, each install of the pavilion evolves and is shaped by people and place, with collaboration and co-creation being core to the project. Wiggle Wonderland was founded by architectural designer Beau McCarthy and artist Lucy Grainge. It was launched in 2021, with support from Arts Council England.
