About this Event
This session will take place in-person at the NewRoot office, located at 910 W Van Buren St. in Chicago, IL from 9:15 AM - 3:15 PM with a 1-hour break for lunch. As parking can be tricky, we advise planning ahead with SpotHero or using public transportation.

Session Description:
This day-long session will provide a framework for schools and youth-serving spaces to reimagine in-school suspension and other disciplinary interventions as opportunities for restorative practices and skill-building. Participants will examine the current methods and structures of their disciplinary interventions and gain tools for shifting those spaces in a more restorative direction through restorative conversations, circles, and targeted SEL skill-building lessons and activities.
