Newport Street Feast Sunday, August 24th, 2025, YOU ARE INVITED!!!! 🙌🏻☺️🎉
We are delighted to announce our Street Party is back again, year 6, for Newport and Burrishoole Parish!
It will be a fun day for families and all members of our vibrant community.
There will be food stalls, a market games, fun, craic, and a great sense of community! All families, neighbours, clubs, groups, businesses, and entertainers are being encouraged to participate to make this day as memorable as possible….an all-out street bash for the whole town.
There are many great reasons to be involved:
• To celebrate our parish & local communities
• To support & shine a light on the community networks & volunteers that hold everything together
• To have fun…to laugh, to open up, to be with others
• To share great local food.
• To enjoy all the local talent & amenities we have
• To show what can be achieved when communities come together to achieve something special
• To meet and get to know all the new members of our parish.
Come along on the day, and invite friends and family!
Bring a picnic and join in the fun! We will have food stalls on the day but encourage everyone to bring a picnic and make a day out of it!
It will be held on Castlebar Street and our beautiful Viaduct, with tables and chairs, DJ, Games, Music, Drumming workshops, Splash and Dash Kayaking Sessions, Boxty, Science demos, Local History & Folklore Story Time, bunting, balloons, and lots more!
Plan to bring friends and family, invite your neighbours, and have fun.
All are free to come and enjoy, it is going to look spectacular!
We will have tables and chairs there for you, if you want, bring a tablecloth, flowers, etc, make it fun and dress your table, we love to see that!
