Kent Sling Library is holding a free workshop to support expectant or new parents (pregnancy up to around 6 weeks old) with a focus on using slings and carriers as a great way to help during the first few weeks and months of parenthood.
We'll go through the benefits of using slings and carriers, and make sure everyone understands and can use one safely.
We'll spend some time going over how to use a stretchy wrap and support you in using your own sling if you already have one.
We'll have plenty of weighted dolls for those without a babe in arms and lots of slings and carriers for you to use without having to share. Partners and other responsible adults in your life are very welcome to join us to learn too (Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents, Carers etc).
Parking is available right outside the building and is free of charge on the road.
Numbers are limited, so it's essential that you book at

Sling and Carrier rentals - We will be offering the opportunity to rent any of our slings and carriers to give them a real test drive before deciding to buy or to use for a specific activity. We charge £15 per month unless you receive healthy start vouchers.
If you would like to buy a sling, just let us know beforehand and we can help you use it and you can collect on the day. We usually have stretchy wraps available to buy for around £25-30 if you'd like to compare prices.
As a non-profit organisation all rental fees and sales raise funds for us to continue our services and provide the free services that we do across West Kent.
Thank You for your support!
