This is a peer support group facilitated by doulas. The purpose of this space to for new mothers to come together and feel a sense of community. We know that postpartum can sometimes feel lonely or overwhelming, so we invite you to come along and allow yourself to exhale.Long ago when we had that proverbial village nobody would be carrying the full weight of motherhood alone. There would be neighbours and friends on hand to help you with the laundry and with cooking, to make you a brew and hold you baby whilst you have a wee in peace. For many women now this isn’t the reality. We hope that this group can bring a piece of that village to your postpartum by providing an opportunity to be truly heard, to forge friendships and to be around other women who understand where you’re at.
Come along and we’ll make sure you’ve got a hot brew and a place to sit whilst you take a load off.
