Give some TLC (Tender Loving Care) to our unique Newaygo Prairie Sanctuary!Volunteers are needed to help restore the Prairie.
On this workday we will be creating a Fire Break for future Prescribed Burns.
930am: A short tour and orientation of the Prairie will be given to new people.
930am - 12noon: TLC work - you can come for all or part of the day.
Work to be Done: We will be cutting & hauling small shrubs to open the area back to prairie, and prepare for future prescribed burns.
Special Instructions:
Dress for the weather! Wear long pants & long sleeves. Sturdy shoes or boots - you will be walking on uneven ground.
What to Bring: work gloves & loppers if you have them (some will be provided); water bottle & snacks if you need them.
If the work crew is out of sight from the parking area, please follow the orange flags.

CANCELLATION: if the weather is bad we may CANCEL.

If you texted Sarah that you would be coming to the work day, she will text you if there is a cancellation.

Take Croton-Hardy Drive east of Newaygo to S. Poplar Ave; turn north; at 56th St turn right (east). Parking will be in that vicinity
