The alluring mix of contemporary and operatic music under a summer night’s stars is back in Nelson in February 2023 after being cancelled earlier this year due to Covid restrictions.The New Zealand International Reality Nelson Opera in the Park lights up the stage on 18 February with high-profile contemporary performers Stan Walker and Annie Crummer and accomplished opera singers Oliver Sewell (tenor) and Madeleine Pierard (soprano), all accompanied by the rich sound of Christchurch Symphony Orchestra.
With a programme designed to attract a broad audience of all ages and tastes, not just music buffs, the event will be at Trafalgar Park. Tickets went on sale 2 November and make a perfect Christmas present.
