Aotearoa New Zealand is committed to build resilient Infrastructure for the well-being of its citizens to adapt to climate change and achieve Net Zero emissions. The visionary and pragmatic 5-year Digital Strategy for Aotearoa (2022-2027), will advance the goals of Mahi Tika — Trust, Mahi Tahi — Inclusion and Mahi Ake — Growth, and focus on 4 major issues to tackle:
- Data ethics and the development and use of AI
- Enhancing the Country’s cyber security
- Challenges & Opportunities of digital inclusion
- Digital Twins
While the 2025 initiatives are aimed to focus on Data ethics, AI and the National Digital Twin infrastructure and interoperability, we have witnessed key projects across Rail, Water and Cities where Digital Twins are implemented in New Zealand with many projects underway.
With the success of our DIGITAL TWIN conferences in Dubai, Riyadh and London, Saifee Events is stoked to raise the dialogue in Aotearoa. The NEW ZEALAND: DIGITAL TWIN 2024 conference will explore the roadmap of a Digital Twin system, its impact on each stage of the project and explore the core values, challenges and opportunities in NZ and how Digital Twins can deliver them.
