Laced with childhood nostalgia and the complicated relationship many women have with food, The Joy of Snacking encapsulates the trials and tribulations of girlhood in the 90s and 00s with a charmingly comedic and honestly raw lens. This hilariously real and ridiculous graphic novel will awaken your inner child and leave her understanding that she was never actually alone. We hope you’ll join us for a night of laughs.
Hilary Fitzgerald Campbell is a comedian, writer, and New Yorker cartoonist from Northern California. She has lived in New York for the past ten years, where she enjoys buying single packs of Oreos and Reese's at her local bodega and falling asleep to Frasier. Her debut graphic memoir, M**der Book, won the best graphic novel prize from the Midwest Publishing Awards and was shortlisted for best graphic novel at Bouchercon. Campbell is also an award winning filmmaker, her short documentaries This is Not The End and Small Talk were awarded prizes at top festivals across the country before going on to become Vimeo Staff Picks. Her second graphic memoir, The Joy of Snacking, is available this October
