About this Event
To celebrate 5 years of electronic music, friendship, art and community in the NY scene, New York Modular Society is putting together our biggest event ever - a 3 stage festival and vendor expo! We’ll be outdoors, and indoors. We’ll have 30+ artists performing over 9 hours of live electronic music for you. Additionally, visuals / VJ performances will also be occurring throughout the day. On top of all this, we’ll be hosting a vendor expo featuring some of the biggest local, national and international module makers, showing off their latest products. Some will be selling too. Vendors include Soma Labs, Steady State Fate, Zlob Modular and many more!
Most of the day is FREE to the public (donations accepted)! Daytime events run from 3-8PM (3-8PM). This includes over a dozen performances across 2 stages plus the vendor expo. Food vendors will be on site too In the evening we will host a free ambient / chillout / generative room from 8P-12A.
The main event of the evening is a $10 ticketed show featuring some of New York’s best electronic and modular musicians. Industrial, reggaeton, hip-hop/mobap musicians will be on stage, live and on-fire. Additionally for the first time we will host a 1 hour, non-stop, multi-artist, modular Techno improvisational performance. With electrifying visuals layering on top of all this, it is an event that’s simply not to be missed!
This event is a not-for-profit event with all proceeds going back to NYMS (and Culture Lab) for hosting future events and bringing more new and exciting opportunities to this vibrant NY-based community. Come join us on Sept 28th and celebrate 5 years of New York Modular Society, electronic music in general, and the innovative makers who bring us the gear we use to create.
