Celebrate New Year’s Eve with whānau and friends at Fergusson Park in Matua.This event is one of Tauranga City Council’s five free community celebrations, perfect for all ages. Come and enjoy live music, roving entertainment, delicious food trucks, fun activities for the kids, and a local MC to host.

📍 Location:
Tilby Drive side of Fergusson Park
🕗 Time:
The event starts at 6pm and will finish with fireworks at 9.30pm.
Things to bring:
✅ A picnic blanket and/or something to sit on
✅ Feel free to bring your own kai or choose from a variety of food truck options
✅ With the sun still strong in the afternoon, remember to slip, slop, slap, and wrap
✅ For those with sensory sensitivities, bring headphones to limit sound
✅ Cash or card to purchase drinks and snacks

Parking may be limited so make a plan to rideshare, walk, bus, bike, or dance your way to the celebration. Bayhopper buses will run as usual throughout New Year’s Eve.

These family-friendly events are alcohol and smoke-free, with temporary and permanent liquor bans in place at and around the area.
