Join us at Matua’s Fergusson Park for a special New Year’s Eve celebration designed for those with sensory sensitivities or accessibility needs. 🎉It runs for an hour before the main celebration begins. (Feel welcome to stay around for the main celebration if you wish).
What to expect:
✅ Smaller crowds
✅ Lower-volume acoustic music performed by Sophie Maud
✅ Quiet room on-site
✅ Accessible parking is available for mobility cardholders in the main car parking area adjacent to the Ōtūmoetai Football Clubrooms
🕗 Time:
Starts at 5pm and wraps up at 6pm, just before the main festivities begin.
Things to bring:
◾ A picnic blanket and/or something to sit on
Feel free to bring your own kai or choose from a variety of food truck options
◾ With the sun still strong in the afternoon, remember to slip, slop, slap, and wrap
◾ For those with sensory sensitivities, bring headphones to limit sound
◾ Cash or card to purchase drinks and snacks

◾ Event carparking is available onsite but is limited.
◾ Parking is available for mobility cardholders in the main car parking area adjacent to the Otūmoetai Football clubrooms.

These family-friendly events are alcohol and smoke-free, with temporary and permanent liquor bans in place at and around the site.
