This New Year Mary Breeds, our resident ecologist will be running a New Years plant walk as part of the Botanical Society of Britain & Ireland’s (BSBI) yearly citizen science plant hunt. This free event will be a chance for people to come along and learn about different plant species that are about in the winter and learn how to identify them too. The results recorded will then be inputted into a wider data collection to help inform the BSBI about what wildflowers and other plants are thriving still in the winter time.
Meet outside the Braunton Countryside Centre with sensible walking shoes and warm clothes to help us with some citizen science and species recording around Braunton village.
No booking required, just turn up on the day.
Alternatively, if you wanted to take part in your own New Years plant hunt you can head over to the BSBI website for more information on how to get started.
