In 2012 lead guitarist Ben Blujus and drummer Mike Redmond started jamming and getting to know each other as people and as musicians. Shortly after rhythm guitar player Dan McCollum got a place on Spring St. in Syracuse NY the two started fusing musically with lead singer Ryan Vendetti and former rhythm guitar player Thomas Dillon. The four were left in search of a bass player suitable for the job. after a few tries they found a beautiful relationship with co- worker (at the Dinosaur BBQ) in Dennis Lingel in the fall of 2012. They worked hard and got a set together and started gigging in the syracuse local area. at the beginning of 2013. They have continued to work hard and use their creative minds to continue to expand now having played in NYC, Nectars in Burlington, Vermont. They have moved around the surrounding cities of Syracuse, NY, and The Hard Rock Cafe in Myrtle Beach, NC being the latest journey. The band has intentions of continuing to expand and keep having a rocking good time doing what they love./////
In 2013 on the college campus of SUNY Oneonta, the band Baked Potatoes could be found playing just about every house party, skate shop, and dive bar in town. In the years following Pat and the rest of the Baked Potatoes graduated college and recorded their first Full Length Album ‘Loaded’ (2016) to much critical acclaim. Baked Potatoes played with the likes of John Brown’s Body, Roots of Creation, Bumpin’ Uglies, Magic Giant, Rubblebucket, & The Hip Abduction as well as performing the Great South Bay Music Festival (NY), The Jersey Shore Music Festival (NJ), Sterling Stage (NY) and more. Following graduating from SUNY Oneonta and releasing their first Album, the band found themselves taking a hiatus as the original members moved to Ohio, Arizona, Tennessee, and Alaska. Aaron and Pat decided to live on a bus, continuing to play music and drive up and down the east coast Busking on the street. In 2018 Pat had moved back to Syracuse, and no longer living on the bus, started to remake the Baked Potatoes with Syracuse Musicians (Salt Potatoes, if you will). Unable to capture the original magic of the band, Pat shifted focus and started releasing music as Pat Tato. The sound is different, Ambitious, Lyrical, Specific & thought provoking. From 2018-2022 Pat had stepped into the role of Lead Guitarist in the band Vaporeyes. The band released two studio albums, ‘Vaporeyes’(2019) & ‘Cantrips’(2020). Now, in 2024 Pat Tato has started to emerge on the Festival Circuit as an early crowd favorite. Combining setlists of old Baked Potatoes songs with New Pat Tato songs, as well as evolving and maturing into the New Sound that is ‘Pat Tato & the Baked Potatoes’, look for this name on Spotify Playlists, Festival Lineups, and Venues in your city!
