Ring in the New Year with Dave Leonard and friends on the dance floor at The Colony. We’ll start grooving early and build the beat as we kick off the new year in style. A multi-media extravaganza sets the tone with lighting and videos while Dave, Mikey and MK take turns spinning an eclectic mix of old soul, alternative, classic rock gems, 80s and 90s jams, old school hip hop, current dance, trap faves and everything in between.
Dave Leonard has been DJ’ing clubs, parties and weddings in addition to hosting his own syndicated Radio Unleashed program for the past 25 years. His eclectic taste, knowledge of wide ranging genres and ability to read the room and bring the dance floor to a crescendo has made Dave’s dance parties some of the most popular events year after year.
He is joined this year by Mikey Palms of Brooklyn now DJ’ing and living full time in the Hudson Valley. He has carved his style dj’ing house parties, block parties, weddings, and countless corporate events and has a gift for crafting the ultimate musical selection for any celebration. He is the founder and creator of the show, Chances With Wolves and has designed and implemented multimedia events for corporate clients across many different spheres. He also managed the Brooklyn venue, Southpaw (1999 – 2012) and was instrumental in helping to create a worldwide icon for New York’s music scene.
MK Ultra aka MK Burnell is well known for her run as the former music director and afternoon personality at WDST and weekend DJ on WFUV in NYC. She also performs in local Hudson Valley bands and spins at parties and weddings. In addition to having her pulse on the new and indy rock scene she knows how to mix in 80s and 90s faves and all genres to keep the dance floor jumping.
