Celebrate the New Year in true Smoky Mountain style as Gatlinburg hosts its 36th Annual New Year’s Eve Celebration. The festivities kick off on December 31 at Shade Tree Lot with live entertainment by country music artist Drew Baldridge, followed by a dazzling drone show and a spectacular fireworks display.Drew Baldridge will bring his signature energy and talent to the Smokies presented by Ole Smoky Distillery, the world’s most visited distillery with two locations in the heart of Gatlinburg. Receiving over 350 million streams of his own, Baldridge has also shared the stage with legends such as Eric Church, Luke Bryan, and Jason Aldean as well as co-wrote hits with country music stars like LOCASH and Bailey Zimmerman. In addition to his success on the radio, his chart-topping viral hit “She’s Somebody’s Daughter” has resonated with audiences nationwide. Baldridge’s performance begins at 10:30 p.m., setting the tone for the anticipatory night.
As the night progresses, the excitement builds with a dazzling drone show illuminating the Smoky Mountain skyline at 11:50 p.m. This sparkling spectacle will lead seamlessly into a grand fireworks display and ball drop, set to ring in 2025 at the stroke of midnight. The fireworks finale and ball drop will take place at the iconic Gatlinburg Space Needle.
The Gatlinburg New Year’s Eve Celebration is a free, family-friendly event open to the public. Due to the popularity of this celebration, attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure parking and avoid road closures.
