What better way to honor the passing year and welcome in the new one than to gather in song and community? Join us this New Year's Day for a very special dose of music medicine by the ocean...
Song circles are an accessible and community-based approach to singing. Together we will share simple chants, rounds and layer songs, songs designed to soothe, to uplift, to support and to inspire. The kinds of songs you can carry with you in your body and in your heart, and turn to as you embrace the coming year.
**Bring something to sit on and some cozy layers. All genders/ages welcome.

DONATION - Suggested sliding scale $30-$20. No one turned away due to lack of funds.

Who we are:
Amanda is a songwriter, community leader, music & creativity coach, mother, and ever-evolving human. In a lifetime devoted to music, with seven self produced albums of original material and counting, she has brought song to the thresholds of birth and death, life rituals, spiritual centers, recordings, festivals and performances through out the West Coast of the U.S. and parts of Europe. In 2014 she co-founded Womb Song, an organization that supports the journey of pregnancy, birth and postpartum through song. In 2022, in response to the growing climate & global crises, she founded The Covered Bridge Community Choir - an all ages group that sings medicine songs for resilience, hope and connection. Understanding music to be a part of our human birthright playing an essential role in our experience of being alive, Amanda is passionate about its power to support the rebirthing of ourselves into a more beautiful, sustainable world. Sarah MacEwan (she/her), aka The Singing Therapist, is on a mission to heal and be healed through creative self-expression. As a psychotherapist, singer, storyteller and grief-tender, Sarah brings her open heart and emotional expertise to every circle she leads, knowing that singing is a therapeutic experience like no other.
