Hey there all you fantabulous Bikernutz.
I’m a bit late posting this but will be doing an L plate friendly New Years Day run on Wednesday 1st January 2025. (weather and road conditions permitting of course)
Just a short one to start the year off, hosted a NYD run for past few years and thought would do another. Make it a BKRNTZ tradition perhaps =D
Meeting at Cumbernauld McDonald’s (G68 9JY) for 1200 and on the road for 1230.
A short hop over to Campsie Glen Car Park in Lennoxtown.
Skip over to Carron Valley Reservoir,
Then keeping both wheels on the ground down Tak Ma Doon road to Kilsyth and finishing off back at Cumbernauld McDonald’s for a well deserved heat and warm drink
Please make sure you and your bike are fit for this run. Wrap up warm because it’s likely to be cold. If you don’t have breakdown recovery cover it would be wise to get some just in case - personal experience of breaking down in the area - some of us BKRNTZ do carry tools and personal supplies but please don’t rely on them to fix you or your bike at the roadside.
Due to the season and time of year this run may cancelled short notice due to unsafe weather or road conditions. There is also possibility run is cut short/turn around for same reasons.
