Join Jen & Dawn for a New Year’s Day Yoga TraditionStart 2026 with intention, movement, and mindfulness in our annual Sankalpa Setting Class. We can't wait to hear your new words!
This year, we’re mixing things up—expect fewer sun salutations and a wider variety of asanas designed to awaken and ground you. We’ll seal our sankalpas with a unique posture chosen for each individual in attendance.
The practice will finish with a mandala sequence (time permitting) and close with deeply restorative postures—an inspiring way to welcome the New Year with clarity and purpose.
Sankalpa (Sanskrit: ) means an intention formed by the heart and mind -- a solemn vow, determination, or will. In practical terms a Sankalpa means a one-pointed resolve to focus both psychologically and philosophically on a specific goal. A sankalpa is a tool meant to harness the will, and to focus and harmonize mind and body.
