Start the New Year off right on our 13th annual joint CNPS/Shasta Environmental Alliance (SEA) hike up to the “Top of the World”!Field trip leader David Ledger has held up this New Years Day tradition and is continuing as a joint CNPS/SEA field trip. This will be a four-mile roundtrip, easy-to-moderate hike in the Westside Trail system. The trail offers views of Mt. Shasta, Trinity Alps, Mt. Lassen, and the northern Sierras. . Consider joining on this fun field trip bringing in the new year and taking in the views while we toast with wine at the top. Little will be in bloom, but we will identify the common trees and shrubs as we make our way up the trail. Max. 25 participants (we will announce when full).
The group will meet at the west end of Kilkee Drive near Mary Lake at 9:30 am. We will hike from there. The hike is estimated to take a few hours.
