New Year New Community: Dallas Creative Meet Up

Moving to a new city can be exciting, but as a creative or entrepreneur, it’s not always easy to find the right connections and resources. I know because I’ve been there.

My name is Takara Franklin, and I’m originally from Los Angeles. When I moved to Dallas two years ago, I quickly realized how challenging it can be to build meaningful connections in a city that’s growing so rapidly. As an entrepreneur, I often wished there was a space where I could meet like-minded individuals, learn about the city’s resources, and feel truly connected to the community.

That’s why I’m excited to host New Year, New Community: Dallas Creative Meet-Up, a space where creatives and entrepreneurs—whether they’ve been in Dallas for years or are brand new—can come together, share ideas, and build something meaningful.
