Urbanstep is a DJ/Producer from Riga, Latvia (EU). He mashes massive amount of genres together creating his own unique sound. His music has reached over 100,000,000 views/streams across all the platforms.
As an artist he has gone through a long path from making solid inpependent releases which topped charts in multiple genres to working with Grammy nominated vocalists and performing with world class DJs all around the world. More as a community, but still as a label - his own Urban Stars Records has been home for over 50 names since 2012, big part of whom scored the most popular releases in their careers. In 2022 his LP "STAGES" got nominated for Best Dance / Electronic Album of the year at Latvian Grammys "Zelta Mikrofons". The same year he also became first ever Latvian artist to get a feature on prestigious UKF Platform, both interview & youtube. In 2023 he shifted his focus to phonk and scored the biggest collaborations in Latvian music history with artists like XANAKIN SKYWOK, ONIMXRU, Khantrast, Ariis, Marin Hoxha, Vinsmoker, OBLXKQ, GREEN ORXNGE, Sx1nxwy, Qoiet, to top that he also released his tracks on the biggest phonk label in the world: Black 17 Media. While being focused on phonk, he still managed to light up quite a few big drum & bass bangers with artists like YUSSI, Natty Campbell & Kleu, as well as solo works. In 2024 he released tracks in multiple genres getting back to his roots while still molding together all the different influences. Being the main man in Latvia for XRAVE series, which started in 2024, he also made 2 historic performances with The Prodigy in Riga, Latvia & Tallinn, Estonia, accumulately playing to a crowd of 18000+ people through the weekend.
