Antonin Dvořák's Symphony No. 9, known as the New World Symphony, earned the composer an international reputation. The symphony has so much influence that astronaut Neil Armstrong brought a tape recording of the symphony on the Apollo 11 mission to the moon.The evening will include Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G featuring Sean Chen.
