About this Event
The New Westminster Climate Action Hub will be hosting Sustainable Home Info Sessions , which will take a holistic approach to climate change and incorporate emissions reductions, climate adaptation and biodiversity.
The event will be hosted at 3 locations:
· 920 2nd Street
· 552 Amess St (home & laneway house)
· 416 St. George Street (Note: hours for this location are 10-12)
Talks will be provided by local experts on topics ranging from how to stay safe in significant heat events, adapting to atmospheric rivers, increasing biodiversity and creating bird & pollinator habitat, building electrification and how the city can support retrofits. Three single family homes and a laneway home will be included as well as information pertaining to condos and apartments. For people who want to bike between sites, secure bike storage will be provided.
