Erato
For 25 years the band from Brussels
had built up a reputation as Belgium's
best unsigned Gothic Rock act.
Despite changes in the line-up, Erato
could always count on a large fanbase.
With A Killed God, The Irreplaceable
One, Erato - III and NAiVe they
conquered the hearts of many dark
music lovers. With their strong live
performances they kept convincing
friends and foes. It was no coincidence
that they have shared a stage with
other legends as Skeletal Family,
Inkubus Sukkubus, Ikon, Faith and the
Muse, The Sisters of Mercy, Anne
Clark and many other great artists.
In 2015 a quiet sound was heard
around around the band. Due to
everlasting recordings of an unreleased
album and pursuing of other interests
by some members, the band went into
hibernation and only woke up once in
2017 to play as support act for Diary
of Dreams.
Mid 2022 Frank (guitars 1995-2002) had a good idea to bring the
band back together. The 2017 line-up (Jacques, Bolle, and
Johan) immediately jumps on board. Mich accepted the
invitation to rumble the thickest strings and Marjo masters the
tempo on drums and brass.
